Through my Squarespace SEO services, I help your site rank higher in search engine results.

I know SEO can sound complicated – especially if you’re new to the whole concept. But with my help, you don’t have to learn anything or waste time doing it yourself.

I’ll optimize your website based on the Squarespace SEO Checklist published by Squarespace themselves.

My services include completing the “Before Launch” and “At Launch” tasks listed in that checklist as well as doing keyword research and organizing your site. I provide a detailed list of what my services include at the bottom of this page.

You can choose from one of two simple SEO packages that I offer. If you have more pages than what’s listed in the package, you may customize it to accommodate the amount of pages you need optimized.

What’s Included – SEO Terms Explained

As I mentioned earlier on this page, the SEO services I provide for Squarespace websites are based on the recommendations outlined in Squarespace’s SEO Checklist.

I combined their recommendations along with my expertise in SEO to formulate my very own checklist and action plan for better SEO.

Below is a detailed list of what’s included in my Squarespace SEO services and what they mean.

As part of my SEO services, I can…

  • Enable SSL – Google penalizes websites that aren’t secure, so I’ll ensure this free feature is activated on your site.
  • Connect a domain name – If you haven’t done so already, I will help you select and register a brandable URL to connect to your Squarespace site.
  • Audit your content – I inspect your pages to make sure they’re structured properly, easy to read through, and have proper heading structure.
  • Add a site title, site description, and business location – These are fields specific to Squarespace that should be filled out because they can be indexed by search engines. I’ll add this basic info to your site along with your logo.
  • Add breadcrumb links – Your pages should link to each other and be easy to navigate from one page to another. Breadcrumb links leave a path for your website visitors to follow.
  • Place social media share and follow buttons – Share buttons allow visitors to spread the news about your website with their friends and family. Follow buttons help visitors easily find your current social media profiles with just one click. I will hookup both on your site.
  • Research relative keywords – I’ll do some research to find keywords that are relative to your industry and help web visitors find you.
  • Add keywords strategically – For each page, I’ll add a keywords meta tag to the header of the page and use that keyword strategically throughout your page’s written content.
  • Customize description and title meta tags – Each page’s description and title meta tags will be tailored to accurately describe the page. This information is what appears in the preview area of search engine results.
  • Add alt text – Alt text is good for SEO and accessibility. I add alt text to all your images.
  • Optimize and format URL slugs – I’ll ensure each page’s URL is properly named using the best practices. If you have blog posts I’ll check that the posts are named using the post’s title and not a number.
  • Register your site on Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools – This is how you let the search engines know that your site exists. I setup accounts for your site on both Google and Bing.
  • Submit your sitemap – To speed up the process of having your website indexed by the search engines, I’ll personally submit your sitemap to Google and Bing.
  • Setup Google Analytics – I setup and add this tool to your site to help you keep track of your site’s visitors and traffic. It provides a more detailed report of your website traffic compared to the stats offered on your Squarespace dashboard.
  • Recommend backlinking resources – I will give you 3-5 websites you can backlink to and give you instructions on how to do it.
