Thinking about purchasing a package or plan but need more information? This page answers some of the most frequently asked questions about my three WordPress Maintenance Packages.
Don’t see your question answered? Feel free to reach out to me via my contact form or call (757) 218-4053.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
Monthly maintenance packages can be canceled at anytime. Yearly packages can only be canceled within the first month of service.
I ask all maintenance plan subscribers to sign my Web Maintenance Agreement in acknowledgement of receipt. Please read that agreement for more information.
After I sign up, how soon do the services start?
After you sign up, I contact you within one business day to get the information I need to initiate my services on your website. Once you send me that information, I can typically have things up and running within 1-3 business days.
What information do you need from me to get started?
Typically, I only need access to your WordPress admin area and sometimes your hosting account’s Cpanel. I will reach out to you to have you safely and securely give me that information.
My website was built by somebody else. Can I still get a maintenance package?
Yes, I can maintain websites built by someone else. But, I prefer to work on websites designed by me. So please contact me to see if your site is eligible, before purchasing a package.
Payment and Pricing FAQs
How are payments handled?
All payments are handled securely through PayPal. I accept all major credit and debit cards.
Monthly packages are setup to automatically charge you each month on the date you originally sign up. So, if you purchase your maintenance plan on the 3rd, your next payment comes out on the 3rd of the following month.
Yearly packages are charged once at the start of the term and automatically renew the following year until you cancel the renewal.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. If you pay for a year in advance, you save $5 per month – which is a savings of $60 a year.
Do you issue refunds?
Yearly Package Refund Policy
Yearly packages are eligible for partial refunds, if the subscription is cancelled within the first month.
If you are not satisfied with your first month of service, please notify me no less than 10 days prior to your next billing month. I will refund you the remaining 11 months of your subscription plan in which no services were rendered. Due to the nature of the work, I don’t issue refunds for the first month of services carried out.
Monthly Package Refund Policy
Monthly subscribers can cancel anytime, but no refunds are issued for months services were carried out.
Can I change to another one of your WordPress website maintenance packages after purchase?
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan to any other level that works for you. Please email me so that I can help you change plans before your next billing statement.
How do I cancel my package?
I really hope you never cancel your service plan. But in the case you do, please reach out to me via email a minimum of 10 days prior to your renewal date to cancel the service. You also need to log into your PayPal account and cancel the auto-payment.
Please note that no refunds are issued for the months services were rendered.
Package Services & Features FAQs
Can I opt-out of some of the features that come with my package?
Yes, you may select which options you wish to utilize on your site. Actually, some features are more necessary for those with multiple users than others.
So when you first subscribe to a maintenance package, I help you decide which features are ideal for your site.
Do your maintenance plans include content changes?
Every plan comes with a set amount of minutes for minor content changes. If your content changes go over the allotted time, I bill you for the extra time in 15 minute increments at the discounted rate of $45/hour. Unused minutes do not carry over to the next month.
Can I purchase additional hours for content changes or other forms of support?
Sure! As a subscriber to any of the packages, you can request my content updating services at a discounted rate of $45 per hour. The minimum fee for any task an hour and under is $50. Then any additional time over an hour is billed in 15 minute increments.
Questions answered via email or phone are counted as support time.
Do you offer any guarantees against hacks?
The protection and monitoring services that I employ add security to your website, but even the best security measures can fail.
Therefore, I don’t offer a guarantee on any of my packages. My WordPress maintenance packages are meant to lessen your chances of getting hacked, because these measures make it more difficult for malicious deeds to be done.
Remember, I’m the monitor and messenger who keeps on the lookout for potential danger. It’s up to you to take action when you are alerted to the dangers.
Do you remove or fix malware or hacks?
No, the malware scanning and monitoring services don’t include removal or repairs. Think of me as the messenger who alerts you to the problem. It’s up to take the next steps to fix it. When you choose to take action to fix the issue, I can assist you with those next steps.
As a maintenance plan subscriber, I assist you by:
- Referring you to a few professionals who specializes in website repairs
- Communicating with the repair specialist in your behalf so you don’t have to interpret to their tech language
- Providing any login access or backup files available they may need to make the repairs

Do you have to install additional plugins on my website?
Yes, I install two plugins onto your website to efficiently stay on top of update notifications, scan for security issues, and create regular backups.
Where are my backups stored?
Currently, I use Dropbox to store a backup copy of your website. You may also opt to keep your backup on your own cloud service and share the folder with me.
Large websites are subject to an additional storage fee or you may be asked to acquire your own cloud storage.
What do you do if my site gets hacked?
Because hack repairs are a specialized skill, I leave it to the experts to repair your website.
I help by giving you a few resources that fix hacked websites. Then, since I handle the operations of your site, I’m in the best position to facilitate the communication between you and the repair experts.

What happens if an update breaks my site?
I always check the compatibility of a plugin and create a site backup before installation. So, in the event an unexpected error happens, I can instantly rollback the update with the backup I have on hand.
